Ain't Marriage Great!

Today is the 2nd day of the beginning of the 2nd year of marriage to my best friend. We had a great Thanksgiving even though we both missed our families tremendously. We went to Temple Square and looked at all the lights, went inside and sat and watched some kids from a local high school perform and then we went to the Roof for the buffet. After that we went to see 'Old Dogs' with John Travolta and Robin Williams. Russ laughed so hard he cried. We decided to begin our next years 'bucket list.' We've got some big plans for the farm, plans to have fun which include dancing lessons and hike Mt. Timp.

I found out that I'm going to have another Granddaughter. How exciting. Our family is growing. Here's a cute picture of Olivia taken by my sister Connie. Olivia looks just like her dad with a touch of her mom.

Can you belive it? I'm married. He's such a great husband. If you could hear him reporting to me each day on the phone as to what he's accomplished around the house you'd think he was being taken advantage of. I used to tell him that he didn't need to do so much but that didn't work so now I just tell him how great he is. He does dishes, laundry, makes the bed, brings me my slimfast each morning and would brush my teeth if I let him. Happy 100 honey!

Big beach was a blast today. Sam got hammered by the waves on multiple occasions. He kept saying rock on and then down he would go. He is so adventorous and has no fear!

We went to a drum circle with fire dancers last night. I didn't realize until we got there it was on a nude beach. Luckily 99% of the people were dressed. Sam will tell you the story if you ask. Its pretty funny.

Sunday we went to the Marine Ocean Center here on Maui. The boys had a blast. They are so funny. Sam tries to hug Zavior and be close to him in pictures but Zavior always pushes him away so that is why they aren't together in the pictures.

We went to the swapmeet with Best Grandma today and then to the beach to hang out. Just a casual day but lots of fun!

We went to the Olivine Pools on the very West side of Maui. We had to hike down this steep slope and then once we got there we wore our reef shoes and walked all over the lava. We swam in the tide pools and saw all sorts of ocean life. It was so amazing...one of those once in a lifetime moments!

Zavior is so much fun. He has not had a haircut and he has this total mohawk-its hard to see in the picture because his hair is so light. Its a strawberry blonde color. We went swimming at the Grand Wailea and had a blast

We have been hanging out on the beach or swimming at the pool. The house rule is that whenever you go to the beach you have to clean off in the pool before coming home. Sand is out of control around here.

We went to the beach with Grandma today. We found the most amazing beach. We went snorkeling and saw a sea turtle. It came up for air and if we wanted we could have touched it. We saw so much coral and tons of beautiful fish. Grandma and Sam got into a day long water fight that is still going strong...i'll keep you updated on how that turns out!

Our third day here and we are having a blast! Zavior loves his sink baths. Sam is having so much fun playing and being the big man on campus.

Hawaii is Great!

So we get to Hawaii and meet this crazy little man. Zavior is so sweet and funny. He reminds me so much of Sam. He is so smart and a total chunker! He found Sam's goggles and wore them around for like an hour. The 2nd day here we got Rebekah out in the sun and played in the ocean. Sam is having lots of fun with his cousin.

Sam just finished this season of Baseball. His team is first in his league. He loved baseball this year and says he wants to play again next year!

Gracie and Gunner are such sweet little dogs. They have grown so much since this picture but are just as cute. They each have their own personalities. Gunner loves dirty socks! He will sift through the laundry room until he finds one and its like doing surgery to get the sock out once its in. Gracie likes to follow Gunner and loves to bite my hair. Crazy but FUN!!!!

Sam had a run in with the slide at the park. We spent the day at the ER having a CT scan and getting meds for his bleeding disorder. He is okay now but he is gonna look a little roughed up for a while.

Sammy Halloween

Halloween with Sam is always fun. He made several kids cry while we were trick or treating he was so scary. Something about a little dude in the Scream outfit FREAKS people out (including me!) Our video took about 10 takes but we finally got it, Sam does stab me in the boob at the very end wow that hurt for many hours after.

Newest Addition to the family

Here is Sophie the newest member of our family. She is so cute and fun. She is very lovable and Sam is smitten. She is very good and knows sit and lays down when you sit down. She loves her belly rubbed. We adopted her from the humane society yesterday 10/17/07. She is one year and nine months old. Her birthday is January 25th. She already met Scout and they got along okay. She was still a little nervous so we need to get them together a few more times. Scout was totally happy to have her in his backyard. He was jumping all over the place. Sam did not sleep last night he was so happy to have her. We are having her sleep in the crate for now until we learn what type of behavior she has. So far she is just cute as can be. She got a bath last night and was wonderful. No problem whatsoever. She loves to lick Sam's feet and he just giggles and lets her do it. I let Sam play hooky from school today so he can get to know his new dog. He is totally loving it.
